Storymaking Belonging: A Fairy’s Arc Through Cloth, Earth, and Self

Abstract

This project began without a research question, design, or timeline. It began, simply, with my hands. One figure from scraps of cloth, raw fleece from my sheep, paint; and there lay a small being. A fairy, although she didn’t claim that name right away. Then came another, and another. My small, daily act of making to fight against the cynicism painting myself into a hard shell.
